Ken gets his Norton

Ken Douglass is a long time neighbor and a buddy of mine. Forty (40!) years ago, Ken set his heart on
one day acquiring a Norton 750 Commando. On May 27 2010, that goal was attained. This is page two of the account
of that road trip, with shots from our drive back home through the small towns and countryside of Vermont.

Modest homes along the way were the predominant type:

I tried to get a shot of Lake Champlain and the low lying mountains of this area; they are far distant in this
photo:

Ken noted the genuine 'crenellated battlements' on the armory to our left. (I'll take his word on that one).
More small town scenes:

That boat makes sense, since Lake Champlain is a few minutes drive, with several boat launch sites nearby. When
the bridge went out of service, a ferry was offered in its place. Since the bridge had not cost drivers anything,
the ferry also does not. That's a nice touch, and pleasingly civilized and 'user friendly'.
